2020 Season

Star Ward

JAN 31 – FEB 21

The ‘space western’ genre goes Utahn. In this sci-fi parody, Luke Singleswarder must rescue his sister, Princess Laman, who has been kidnapped by Darth Sinner. This knee-slapping adventure is full of fantastic characters like Briggum-Yung Kenobi, Wilford Wookie, Java the Cup, and The Adversary, the evil Emperor-like character who is so old he needs to use an Imperial Walker. Using the Still Small Force, Luke sets out with his faithful droids, CTR2-D2 and MTC-PO, to find the princess and make the universe safe again. Written by Paul and Patrick Gibbs.

Show will be at the Midvale Performing Arts Center: 695 W Center St, Midvale, UT 84047

Cutie and the Beast

August 1 – 29

That’s right, we’re telling the story of a rich young prince who becomes cursed with ugliness and beastly manners. No, we’re not doing the Donald Trump story—it’s Cutie and the Beast. A cute young girl gets lost in the woods and takes refuge in the enchanted castle of a terrible beast. All of the trans-morphed servants labor to get her to fall in love with their master, to break the spell that holds them prisoner. But they must hurry, before the last sego-lily petal falls! This hilarious new musical parody, written by Eric Jensen, will surely be a “beastly” hit with kids and families.
